July 6, 2010

You may have already known this, but Colorado is one of the most stable markets in the country when it comes to appreciation.  A couple quick facts: in the year leading up to March 31st 2010, Colorado home prices increased 1.51%, which puts us in 4th place for that period behind Washington DC, North Dakota, and California.  Nationally, the average for that time frame was a LOSS of 3.07%!  Here is a big one: for the 1st quarter of 2010, our prices increased .48%….we were one of only 5 states that actually appreciated for that time period.  Also, among 299 metro areas ranked for price appreciation, Ft Collins/Loveland area was among the best in Colorado, ranking # 70 for the 12 month period.
