Rising Inventories Hurt Recovery Prospects

With reference to my last post, this is something that we don’t really have a problem with in Fort Collins, that is TOO MANY HOMES ON THE MARKET.  On the whole, we don’t have the crazy inventory problems that the rest of the country seems to have.  This is causing a problem with the housing recovery, and now it seems that a good portion of economists and folks that study the housing market think that we haven’t hit bottom yet, and it seems that they are split in their predictions between 2011 and 2012.  Well, keep in mind this one important fact: EVERY HOUSING MARKET IS DIFFERENT!  Don’t buy into these national opinions unless you are actually seeing it for yourself in your market.
