March Happenings

March 17, 2011

Hey everyone!  Today is St Patrick’s Day and it is a balmy 70 degrees in beautiful downtown Fort Collins.  I am sitting in my fishbowl watching the world go by my office, lots of great people watching as you might imagine.  It is also the beginning of March Madness, which is a fantastic time of year.  I hope you all will join me in rooting on the University of Northern Colorado (Greeley) in the tournament…this is a big deal!  CU got snubbed pretty bad, we all think they should be in the tourney too.  And we are working our way towards baseball opening day….if you have never been to Coors Field for opening day, you should try it.  All in all this is a great time of year, changing of the seasons, longer days, snow melting, etc.  The only melancholy part?  The ski season is almost over for most resorts.  However, in case you don’t know, there are a couple of spots that stay open well into June and sometimes into early July if you can believe that.  Go try Arapahoe Basin in mid-June sometime.  You can park right at the base of the lift (otherwise known as The Beach)…wear shorts and a t-shirt, bring some beer and a BBQ grill and you are set to go!  So happy spring to you all!
