Remodeling? Flipping Houses? Investing? Save Money From Day One!

June 2, 2011

The place you can save the most on a remodel is materials. Labor is often non-negotiable, but you can always do it yourself with the help of google and power tools. How exactly can you save big $$$ on materials? Go second hand. Builders shootingfor sustainable projects are often taking quality products apart and giving them to local stores such as Habitat for Humanities ReStore or ReSource (both here in Fort Collins) to be put to work in a new location. These items are donated, so you can get them for 40-80% off retail. They have everything including paintings, furniture, bathtubs, tile, appliances, cabinetry, doors, windows, and an unlimted number of other items good for building. Basically, this  should be the first place you look for materials, and you should be looking once or twice a week! (I go 3 days a week!) Go ahead and google your local building supply consignement stores and have fun hunting! If you have any questions, just give me a call or shoot me an email.
